MOBIUS
The MOBIUS online library catalog is temporarily suspended. See the [Updated] Temporary Disruption to MOBIUS Service article for further details.
What is MOBIUS?
MOBIUS is a consortium of 78 libraries, primarily in Missouri. The consortium maintains a combined catalog of member libraries’ holdings, providing access to over 29 million items. MOBIUS was created to allow faculty, students, and staff at member institutions to borrow these materials from other member libraries.
Due to changes to the MOBIUS software platform, WashU students, faculty, and staff are no longer eligible to check out materials on-site at MOBIUS member libraries. Items must be requested via the MOBIUS catalog and delivered to the WashU library of your choice for pickup.
When Should I Use MOBIUS?
Search MOBIUS to broaden your search. You may discover sources unavailable in WashU Libraries but open to borrowing from a MOBIUS member library.
Resources in the MOBIUS catalog with an “available” status can be requested for delivery to the Libraries for checkout. A courier service delivers materials to member libraries daily, Monday through Friday.
