World Autism Month

Every April, the American Autism Association celebrates World Autism Month in conjunction with World Autism Acceptance Day on April 2. The purpose of World Autism Month is to share stories and help increase understanding and acceptance of the autism community.

In keeping with the spirit of World Autism Month, this exhibition highlights books in our collection around a number of themes, including (auto)biography, books by parents of autistic children for parents of autistic children, books written to support autistic individuals and their families, juvenile fiction and literature, and books about autism in literature and media.

This exhibition includes a curated collection of books on display and you are welcome to check out the print books located on exhibition book carts! The full list, including eBook links, may be found in our World Autism Month Research Guide.
