A Celebration of Women at Washington University

The A Celebration of Women at Washington University exhibition was organized in conjunction with the Woman’s Club of Washington University in honor of their Centennial Anniversary (1910-2010).

The achievements of women have marked every aspect of Washington University’s history, in its excellence of teaching, in the depth of its research, and in the lives of so many students. The stories of these accomplishments could fill pages upon pages.

This exhibition can only offer a beginning look into this history by highlighting some of these women and their accomplishments. We hope that this exhibition will also inspire future students, scholars, and historians to explore further into the often untold stories that have shaped and continue to shape, Washington University in St. Louis.
