Bouquet of Books
Flower language, also known as floriography, is the use of flowers to convey meanings. It has been used for thousands of years and often shows up in literature, including in works from William Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Edgar Allan Poe, and Virginia Woolf. In this exhibition, miniature books with flowers have been assembled along with their meanings to create a beautiful bouquet of books.
The Bouquet of Books exhibition was organized by the Curator of Rare Books Cassie Brand with assistance from Special Collections Summer Student Whitney Bixby.
