Digital Publishing Support

Why Digital Publishing

Digital publishing practices leverage digital technologies to make information and art available to the public. Examples of digital publications include open educational resources, podcasts, websites, and more. Publishers use digital techniques to distribute their works more broadly, accessibly, and freely than traditional print-based methods allow.

What we Offer

Scholarly Communication & Digital Publishing Services offers the WashU community a suite of tools to create your own digital, open-access publications including, but not limited to:

  • Digital Books | Interested in authoring a born-digital open-access book? Check out Open Books.
  • Online Journals: I Want to create a digital open-access creative or scholarly journal? Check out Open Journals.
  • Websites | Creating a digital project for your research, a class project, or instruction? Check out WebPubs.

We are happy to meet with you to discuss your digital publishing project. Contact a Scholarly Communication & Digital Publishing Services Department member at digital@wumail.wustl.edu with questions or to request a consultation.
