The Life and Legacy of a Himalayan Buddhist Master: Pema Döndrub (1668 –1744)

This exhibition documents research conducted in Nubri at an ethnically Tibetan archive in Nepal, where Anthropology Professor Geoff Childs has been researching since the 1990s. This particular project is the result of a Newman Exploration Travel Fund awarded to Geoff in 2019 and traces the legacy of a Buddhist Lama from Nubri. Jessi Cerutti, exhibitions manager for WashU Libraries, organized this exhibition.
