Information Literacy Teaching and Learning Community Forum

In the current social and political climate, the need for information literacy is increasingly evident as we have seen misinformation campaigns about COVID-19, the election, and the Black Lives Matter movement, among other issues. Through the Information Literacy Learning Community for Faculty and Librarians (ILLC), WashU faculty and librarians collaborate on the preparation or revision of a course with the goal to better develop students’ information literacy skills. Each pair works together to create the course syllabus and course assignments, and design content for particular class sessions.

This forum will include interactive discussions about teaching information literacy that will be facilitated by ILLC faculty-librarian teams. This event is ideal for anyone interested in information literacy, and how you can deepen your engagement on this topic at WashU.
