New Data Visualization Competition Design Award

The inaugural WashU Data Viz Competition, part of WashU’s annual Love Data Week celebration, offers awards to students, faculty, and staff for their ability to transform a data set into an engaging visual story.

Prizes of up to $150 will be awarded to both students and faculty/staff. There will be a first-, second-, and third-place award for both categories, as well as a People’s Choice Award selected at the award reception on February 13.

Faculty/staff and students should use the provided dataset (must be logged in to Box) to create a data visualization. Participants are welcome to use any tools to create their submissions. The submission deadline is Friday, February 6, 2025, at 5 pm.

Visit the WashU Data Viz Competition site for more details and to submit your entry.
