Introduction to 3D Printing and Education Research

This workshop is designed to provide students, educators, and researchers with a foundational understanding of 3D printing technology and its applications in academic settings. Participants will explore the basics of 3D modeling, and open-source 3D model repositories, understand the principles behind different 3D printing methods, and learn how to incorporate this technology into their class or research projects. The workshop will also cover design principles and the prototyping process and discuss real-world case studies where 3D printing has significantly impacted education and research.

By the end of the workshop, attendees will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to confidently use 3D printing as a tool to enhance learning, innovation, and problem-solving in their respective fields.

Free and open to all, registration requested.
