Re-Drawn: Pictures, Plots & Portrayals from Special Collections
The Re-Drawn: Pictures, Plots & Portrayals from Special Collections exhibition presents materials curated by first-year Master of Fine Arts in Illustration and Visual Culture (MFA-IVC) students as part of their spring semester 2024 Exhibition & Engagement course requirement.
The exhibition was the culmination of the planning and developing of exhibitions with the Julian Edison Department of Special Collections. Students participating in the class researched using materials from the Dowd Illustration Research Archive, Rare Books, and other collections. The students organized individual physical exhibitions and populated a digital exhibit to document the installation. The purpose of the exhibit was to gain an understanding of practical and theoretical issues related to studying and displaying library collections.
