Archive Collections

Reference services are located in Special Collections at Olin Library (Level 1) on the Danforth Campus. *Note  that most of our collections are stored off-site.* Please contact us in advance (314) 935-5495 or spec@wumail.wustl.edu to ensure items are available for your use.

University Archives chronicles the history of Washington University from 1853 to today, with more than 300 unique collections including campus publications, reports, photographic prints and negatives, books, film, sound recordings, oral histories, architectural plans, and artifacts.

Archive collections documenting Local History topics include records of noted St. Louis area civic organizations, political figures,  architects, social activists, and   community groups.

Popular American Arts collections focus on topics such as jazz music, dramatic performance, entertainment, and other expressions of popular culture.
