Pfeiffer Physics Library Services & Facilities

The Physics Library is open to the public.

The Physics Library is partially accessible to persons with limited mobility. Wheelchair access is by means of an elevator on the first floor of the building; ask at the circulation desk for help getting materials from the mezzanine.

Physics faculty, graduate students, postdocs, and undergraduate majors are eligible for 24 hour ID card access to the library. Inquire at the Physics circulation desk for more information.

All borrowers with a valid Washington University ID have borrowing privileges for circulating materials.
Faculty – 90 days
Graduate Students – 60 days
Undergraduates – 30 days
Physics journals do not circulate.

Faculty needing to place books and other materials on reserve may fill out the Online Reserve Request Form with the required list of books. Please be sure to indicate Physics Library on the form. Or lists may be submitted to the Physics Library in person or via email. Reserve books are shelved in the Physics Library office.

Reference services, research consultation, and individual and group instruction in the use of Physics Library resources is available during regular library hours. The Physics Library has four computers which provide full internet access and one computer with catalog only access. There are two copy machines. One is reserved for Physics Department faculty, staff, and students. The second copier is for all non-Physics Department people and requires use of your WUSTL card account.

There are several online services available through the library website. These include InterLibrary Loan, Online book renewal, West Campus delivery request, MOBIUS, as well as many other services. Full list of online services.
