Thomas Gallery and New Exhibition Spaces

The Thomas Gallery in Olin Library. James Byard/Washington University

Libraries are increasingly highlighting their unique collections to promote cultural and intellectual enrichment. With the Transformation, Olin now has increased space for exhibitions and collections in the Thomas Gallery and the Newman Tower of Collections and Exploration.

The Thomas Gallery, a lively pathway located on Level 1 that spans the distance between the north and south entrances, features a new, state-of-the-art exhibition chamber that supports an unprecedented variety of rotating exhibits from the Libraries’ own collections and beyond..

•  A rare copy of the Declaration of Independence will also be showcased.

• Increased exhibition and storage space for special collections means faculty, students, and staff will have better access to these materials on site for classes and research, as well as more opportunities to co-curate exhibits.
