Local History Collections

Focused on the history of St. Louis and the surrounding region, the local history archive collections range from architectural drawings, to documents of social activists, business archives, and records of political leaders.  Active collecting of local history materials began in the late 1970s as an outgrowth of the University Archives.  With a reorganization of the Julian Edison Department of Special Collections in 2016, the local history archives became a separate collecting focus within the department. read more…
