University Archives chronicles the history of Washington University in St. Louis from 1853 to today, with over 300 unique collections including campus publications, reports, photographic prints and negatives, books, film, sound recordings, oral histories, architectural plans, and artifacts.

Reference services are located in the Julian Edison Department of Special Collections at Olin Library (Level 1) on the Danforth Campus. Appointments are encouraged. Please contact Sonya Rooney, University Archivist, in advance to ensure items are available for your use.

Literary manuscripts of notable authors who taught or studied at Washington University are found in the Modern Literature Collections.
