ORCiD releases preliminary results of 2015 survey on community perceptions and understanding

ORCiD (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) has released a summary of their 2015 survey:
Survey Says: Community Perceptions of ORCID, Part 2 and
Survey Says: Community Perceptions of ORCID, Part 1

I found this quote interesting: Nearly two thirds of respondents with ORCID iDs (62%) believe that ORCID is important because “persistent identifiers are a way of helping the internet work better for research”.

Expect to hear more about ORCiD in 2016 since Washington University is now an institutional member.
