Construction in two key areas of the Olin Library Transformation will kick off this week. The activity won’t interfere with Olin Library operations. We are open for business!
Work will begin on the new north entrance to Olin, which is expected to be open in the summer of 2017. During north entrance construction, the existing library entrance will remain open and will not be affected. Work will also begin near the Arc on Level A (the Arc itself will remain open), in an area that will house gender-inclusive restrooms and an infant nursing room when the Transformation is completed in spring 2018.
Remember: free ear plugs are available in five Olin locations — the Help Desk, Special Collections, and The Writing Center on Level 1; the Arc on Level A; and the Center for Diversity & Inclusion on Level 2. The departmental libraries are great places to study if construction noise becomes bothersome. Don’t forget to check their hours, which vary.
