NEXT Winners Present Their Adventures

Newman Exploration Travel Fund awardees Kendall Carroll, Undergraduate winner, and Gabriela Hall, Undergraduate winner, will present on the trips they took funded by the NEXT travel fund. Carroll, a WU ’18 graduate of Arts & Sciences, traveled through Scotland, Germany, and Croatia studying the history of witchcraft trials. Gabriela Hall, a systems engineering student in the School of Engineering & Applied Science, studied the integration of robotics into mining technologies to help create safer working environments for miners. Presenters will talk about how the travel affected them, how things differed from their expectations, and will present photos/videos of their travels.

Immediately following the presentations they will spend time talking with their peers about their trips and winning applications. Light refreshments will be served.
