Update on University Libraries’ Chat Service
Currently, Research & Liaison Services staff provide chat support from 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (summer hours). We are happy to announce a new partnership with Springshare 24/7 Cooperative that will allow us to provide chat service outside of those hours, 24/7.
Academic librarians from universities and colleges across the country and Springshare librarians staff this service. When patrons initiate a chat after hours, they will be greeted with a message about the 24/7 service and directed to the cooperative librarian who is on-call.
If a patron has questions related to University Libraries’ services or materials that the on-call librarian can’t answer, the librarian will forward those questions to University Libraries’ staff.
Chat can be found on the homepage and footer of this site, as well as the catalog, our A-Z database listings and Research Guides, and EBSCO databases.
