News and notes for math, Sept. 2017

Two Springer Nature journals moving from open access to subscription access. Please contact Ruth Lewis if you think we need to look into subscribing to either of these titles; no guarantees of course, new journal subscriptions are possible but tricky to pay for.

  • Research in Number Theory has been open access 2015-2017. Beginning in 2018 it will be subscription only, with a few open access articles if authors paid, etc.
  • Research in the Mathematical Sciences has been open access 2013-2017. Beginning in 2018 it will be subscription only, with a few open access articles if authors paid, etc.

Safari Technical eBooks are now available to WU medical campus users on the same basis as WU Danforth Campus users. [In the past, medical campus users were blocked when they were off campus but this has been changed.] More info. We have only 8 concurrent users on Safari so please click on the LOGOFF link after using these books. When you click on a Safari Ebook, you may need to click on the Safari “home” button in the upper left hand and then click on “start using Safari” in order to login. After that, you will have the fulltext access. NOTE: When you prefer paper versions of these titles, sometimes these are available for request in the MOBIUS catalog.

If you want updates about and input into arXiv revisions, please respond to this Invitation to join arXiv user and usability group.

Updates to Campus Box Delivery Introduced
