Welcome to Washington University Libraries’ New Website

We’re excited to share the new, improved Washington University Libraries website with you! The new interface not only presents a brighter look and feel but also serves to enhance our goal of connecting researchers with the tools and information they need.

Updating the website allowed us to enrich discoverability, to further refine the University Libraries’ accessibility, and to create a more equitable experience all around.

Key Changes Include…

  • A single search box with a dropdown interface that allows you to search University Libraries’ catalogs, key discovery tools, databases, eResources, interlibrary loan, research guides, and more.
  • A special highlight of our Remote Resources—the materials and online databases accessible via the Internet that have been so important during distance learning.
  • Access to our 24/7 chat service, search tools, and library hours available via the widgets in the top right corner on every page of the site.
  • More robust menu selections located in both the left-hand sidebar and footer menus on every page; additionally, there is a new Tools Menu located in the bottom left corner with frequently used items such as My Accounts, Off-Campus Access, and more.

Further Updates

In addition to our revised Special Collections and Exhibitions sections that enhance and expand the materials available for research and scholarship, we are also revamping the profiles of your Subject Librarians within our new Staff Directory.

These changes will help us to better serve you and will highlight all of the expert assistance and research resources your librarians and Data Services staff have prepared for you.

Looking Ahead

The changes we made are in response to feedback received about our website over the years. We are excited to continue gathering input and making updates so that we can be sure our website is simple and intuitive for everyone to use going forward.

Anyone with immediate comments, questions, or concerns is welcome to contact our Director of Communications, Kimberly Singer, at ksinger@wustl.edu.

And remember—you can Ask Us anytime.
