Olin Library has a new KIC Bookeye 4 overhead scanner for use by faculty, students, staff, and visitors. The scanner is located adjacent to the Help Desk on Level 1.
Pages can be scanned on a flat surface or using the V-cradle which puts less strain on the book spine. Documents can be saved to a USB drive or sent via email in several formats including PDF, JPG, and PNG. Quick Scan provides 200 dpi quality with the option of high-resolution scans up to 600 dpi. The Bookeye handles materials up to 17 x 24 inches and scans in black and white, grayscale, or full color. The Kranzberg Art & Architecture Library also has a Bookeye scanner available in their copy room.
Contact the Olin Library Help Desk (314-935-5420 or firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information about our new scanner.
