We’re excited to report that the Modern Graphic History Library recently received more work from Jack Unruh. Unruh’s illustrations have appeared in a wide range of publications, including Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, and Time, as well advertisements and annual reports for companies such as IBM and Hartford Financial Services. The Dallas-based illustrator has won numerous awards and was inducted into the New York Society of Illustrators’ Hall of Fame in 2006. Unruh is a graduate of Washington University, and will visit the campus for a special celebration and lecture this spring.
In addition to original drawings, sketches, tear sheets, publicity material, and source material, we now also have many finished ink and color pieces. A few of the new drawings are highlighted below. You can find out more about collection by checking out the Jack Unruh Collection Finding Aid.
