Kranzberg Art & Architecture Library – Temporary Summer 2019 Closure

UPDATE July 10, 2019:
The Kranzberg Art & Architecture Library has reopened today, Wednesday, July 10! We will update this blog post if any additional closures are needed.

UPDATE June 19, 2019:
The plaza demolition above the library is now complete. However, the Kranzberg Art & Architecture Library will need to remain closed until early July, weather permitting, due to ramp demolition that will begin earlier than originally anticipated. This means that we should not have to close later again in the summer.

Please continue to check this page or our website for further updates, and contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

May 8, 2019:
The Kranzberg Art & Architecture Library will temporarily close from May 20 to early or mid-June 2019 due to adjacent plaza demolition work. Additional temporary closures may be needed later in the summer, and will be announced as early as possible if so. Please see the following for impacts to access and services.

  • Collection access* – Kranzberg Library collections can still be accessed by requesting materials in the Classic Catalog for pickup at other Danforth Campus libraries. Please check the website for current hours and availability. For non-circulating materials, please contact our staff directly.
  • Holds at the Kranzberg Library – All materials currently on hold at the Kranzberg Library must be picked up no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, May 17, 2019.
  • Staff + Questions – The Kranzberg Library staff will relocate to temporary offices in the WU Libraries. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact us.

* Due to restricted access to the library by Libraries staff, it may take a bit longer than usual to get a requested item.
