“Ines von Ketelhodt & Peter Malutzki” Book Artists’ Talk at Feb. 14, 4:30 PM in Special Collections Classroom in Olin

Washington University Libraries & the Kranzberg Book Studio are pleased to host Ines von Ketelhodt & Peter Malutzki.

Von Ketelhodt and Malutzki are among the most admired – and collected – book artists in the world today. They work collaboratively and independently to produce works of conceptual complexity, meticulous design and superb craft. They have shared a collaborative workshop in Flörsheim, Germany, since 2002 and have been at the vanguard of book art in Europe since the 1980s. Their collaborative fifty-volume edition, “Zweite Enzyklopädie von Tlön,” a response to the story by Jorge Louis Borges, is found in collections worldwide.

Von Ketelhodt will speak about her recent project, “Farbwechsel/Color Change: One Project, Six Books, Six Colors.”

Malutzki will present his work in a talk, “Three Decades of Making Artists Books.” A reception will follow the talk in Room 142 of Olin Library.
