HVAC Improvements Coming to Gaylord Music Library

The heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in the Gaylord Music Library will be upgraded this summer, in time for fall 2017 classes. The renovation project will begin on Tuesday, June 20. Gaylord is anticipated to remain open for its normal summer hours throughout the project. Most of the work will take place behind closed doors, within the library’s mechanical space. Please expect some noise and disruption, as well as significant downtime of the air conditioning while the old equipment is removed and the new is installed. This downtime may last until late July. Large cooling machines will be in use for the protection of library materials and for the improved comfort of those who visit Gaylord during this time.

If you have any questions, please contact Sarah Laaker, Manager of Library User Space Planning, at slaaker@wustl.edu.
