Fake Science

As open access journals become more prevalent, there are an increasing number of predatory journals taking advantage of unsuspecting researchers.  Many journals are created for the sole purpose of collecting author fees.  The titles of these journals can sound very similar to a reputable journal.  There’s a good article that appeared in the New Yorker on March 22:  http://www.newyorker.com/tech/elements/paging-dr-fraud-the-fake-publishers-that-are-ruining-science.  Be aware!
