Blaeu’s Atlas Maior

Blaeu atlasJoan Blaeu’s Atlas Maior was published in multi-volume sets in Latin, French, Dutch, German, and Spanish from 1662 to 1665. Containing around 600 maps, and considered the finest Dutch Atlas of its time, it was the largest and most expensive book published in the 17th century. The atlas is located on Level A in the Newman Exploration Center.
