  • November 12, 2019 • 12 PM – 1 PM
  • Olin Library, Instruction Rm. 2

You have finally figured out which geoprocessing tools you need for your analysis, now you just need to run them 1,000 times and record the results. Save your clicking finger–and your sanity–by performing the workflow in Python. This workshop will cover the automated import, processing workflows, and output of spatial data using the ArcPy library. Basic knowledge of Python syntax is required.

Geography Awareness Week (GAW) is an international event with the goal of highlighting the significance of geography in people’s lives. The Data Services team at the University Libraries will be celebrating the importance of geospatial data and tools with a series of workshops on various topics ranging from open source geographic information systems (GIS), Storymapping, Community GIS, and using Python with spatial data.

Free and open to all.

Anyone who participates in at least two sessions will receive a gift! Follow the Washington University Libraries on Facebook and Twitter (@WUSTLibraries) for GAW updates and use the hashtags #GAWatWashU, #GeoWeek, and #geographyawarenessweek when attending the workshops.
