African and African American Studies and Washington University Libraries present “Sighted Eyes | Feeling Heart”, a new documentary about Lorraine Hansberry as part of the Henry Hampton Film Series. Award-winning filmmaker Tracy Heather Strain explores the life and work of this passionate writer and civil-rights advocate, whose words and ideas are as relevant today as they were when she first wrote them. If you only know “A Raisin in the Sun”, then you don’t know Lorraine Hansberry. There will be a Q&A with director Tracy Heather Strain and producer Randall MacLowry following the screening.

This event is co-sponsored by African and African American Studies, Washington University Libraries, and Cinema St. Louis.

Free and open to the public.
