Geography Awareness Week (GAW) is an international event with the goal of highlighting the significance of geography in people’s lives. The Data Services team at the University Libraries will be celebrating the importance of geospatial data and tools with a series of workshops on various topics ranging from open source geographic information systems (GIS), Storymapping, Community GIS, and using Python with spatial data.
Free and open to all.
Anyone who participates in at least two sessions will receive a gift! Follow the Washington University Libraries on Facebook and Twitter (@WUSTLibraries) for GAW updates and use the hashtags #GAWatWashU, #GeoWeek, and #geographyawarenessweek when attending the workshops.
