An active designer throughout his entire life, Seymour Chwast is known for his unique illustrative style, which has been featured in publications such as The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Vanity Fair, as well as in posters, advertising, and children’s books. Chwast often combines social issues and comical illustrations to create engaging design. Chwast partnered with Edward Sorel and Milton Glaser to found Push Pin Studios in the mid 1950s, and Chwast and Glaser ran the place for two decades, influencing both graphic design and illustration in the process.
