Data Visualization

Visualization methods help researchers display data, examine variability, discover relationships, and communicate findings as part of the data science pipeline. Tabular and hierarchical data can be presented using graphs, charts, networks, or information graphics and spatial data is traditionally shared as maps or graphic figures.

The Data Services (DS) team provides tools and expertise to help users effectively display, navigate, share, and present their data in static or dynamic formats. DS team members are available to consult on best practices of visualization, and are experienced with technology including for example Tableau, Excel, RShiny, d3.js, the Adobe suite, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, and QGIS.

Duration and intensity of DS engagement depends upon the needs and resources of the project and may vary from a single meeting to an ongoing collaboration.
