Data Curation and Management

The Data Services Team supports the management of digital research data resources held by the University and the curation of data created by the campus community.

Data management is the collection, description and organization of project data throughout its life cycle.

Digital data curation encompasses consistent selection, management and archiving practices to support sharing and ensure long-term preservation of data objects.

Curation creates context, ensures research data has integrity, protects against obsolescence, ensures interoperability (where possible), and prepares data to be reused.
