Washington University Libraries has been a member of the DPLA Missouri Hub since it was formed in 2013. Scholarly Publishing contributes metadata for all publicly accessible digital collections and exhibits, which are then searchable through DPLA’s interface with millions of other digital objects from archives, libraries, and museums. On October 18, to celebrate Missouri Day and learn more about DPLA, join organizers Shannon Davis and Ariadne Rehbein, NDSR resident at Missouri Botanical Garden, for an event at St. Louis Public Library featuring guest speakers from Washington University and the Missouri State Archives.
You’re invited to celebrate Missouri Day DPLA-style at the Library!
Join us to:
- Learn how to use DPLA for discovery, research, and teaching
- Hear about collection highlights from Missouri
- Strengthen your connection to our state’s history and culture
We’ll be demonstrating how to use DPLA, sharing information about the local institutions and collections that are a part of it through Missouri Hub, and learning about Missouri history and culture through collections and connections brought together through DPLA.
