Metzler Verlag, [2018]  is an online handbook offering a comprehensive overview of Thomas Bernhard’s life and work. It provides commentary from scholars on Bernhard’s major works, from his journalistic ventures in the 1950s to the novels written in his later life, explaining the origin of the texts, the process through which they were written, and their meaning and reception.
