UPDATE ON THE CLEARINGHOUSE


  We now have 78 entries in the Clearinghouse of Image Databases. Many thanks
to those of you who have sent entries.  If or when anyone has a new entry or
update, please consult the Clearinghouse's directory -- 1.  How to Submit
Projects -- for the correct format to use when submitting.  It gets to be a
lot of cutting and pasting for me, if you don't.


FYI: CHANGES IN ACCESSING THE CLEARINGHOUSE


  There is a change in accessing the Clearinghouse.  Our Unix guru has
set up firewalls on miles.library.arizona.edu and
dizzy.library.arizona.edu.  You are no longer able to access our gopher
server by telnet'ing to either miles or dizzy.  You may still gopher to
either, however.


HOW TO TELNET TO THE CLEARINGHOUSE


  You still have easy access by telnet'ing to our library information system,
SABIO.


1.  telnet sabio.arizona.edu
2.  From the main menu, select
     O > OTHER databases and remote Libraries
3.  Select Internet Gopher
4.  Select 10. Image Databases
5.  Select  5. Clearinghouse of Image Databases
