Riitta Soveri,Could you provide me with more information on the above-referenced event and the proposed training manuals which are in process. Project SCOPE might be able to help.
As background, Project SCOPE is a nonprofit developer of telecenters (usually computer based technology) to provide access to those in rural/low-income areas worldwide. The goal is to create sustainable individuals/communities by making available education, training, community redevelopment and economic development programs in partnership with local communities. Project SCOPE is unique in that the concept is a grassroots, comprehensive approach to improving the quality of life (as indicated by the needs and priorities of each area) for both individuals and communities. I look forward to working with you on exploring ways Project SCOPE can assist with the current project as well as developing telecenters locally to increase access to the materials throughout Africa and the global community. These manuals need widespread distribution for their value is considerable and the need is great for such materials. Also, will you be having such an event again?
