Technology and 'values and technology=92 a number of authors or works wer=
e =

cited or recommended. It is 23 years now since Schumacher's _Small is =

Beautiful_ was first published. Many writers since 1973 have pursued and =

elaborated on the ideas which Schumacher expounded. =

I would like to take this opportunity to ask recipients of the Devel-L =

list to nominate which books (or articles)they would include in a list of recommended reading on appropriate technology, particularly for people =

living in the Third World.

A compilation of responses will be posted to the list and included in the December 1996 issue of the quarterly journal _Appropriate Technology_. This issue will be marking the 30th anniversary of the Intermediate Technology Development Group (ITDG) with a number of articles about current thinking on development and AT. The compilation =

will also be made available on ITDG=92s WorldWideWeb pages.

Please nominate up to 5 (five) books or articles - any language - and reply directly to me at =

We look forward to hearing from you.
