        Dear Ian Hodur,

As an RPCV and a current development worker, I may have been willing to assist you. Anyone who has worked in the field, whether as a PCV or another development worker, will probably agree that the issues of development and the measureable impact of PCVs are complex and at times intangible. The reasons behind these complexities, whether political, individual or community related are equally complex and could make for an interesting learning experience and a paper.

However, rather than posing questions to try to understand and to learn, you seem intent to pose criticisms. Why don't you just go ahead and write the paper without solicitation from those of us who have been in the proverbial trenches? If you do want our input, I would advise phrasing your request in a manner that encourages an exchange.
