Acedemics and Epistimologists Beware:
All this talk about "Appropriate Technology" being good or bad or just a
thing to be used by humans (clearly a species not ready for it) misses an
important point.
For instance, Medicines are universally percieved as good, in spite of the
new knowledge that modern use of some anti-biotics have helped create
super-microbes that are resistant and thus more virulent than ever!
The appropriate technology, "the Study of Technique" as one pointed out,
is the sharing of information and knowledge so that we can quickly percieve,
recognize, and come to solutions for the inevitable problems that will be
encountered no matter what the technology. Especially taking into
consideration our "wiggly world" of reality, our "collective hunch" that we
percieve the same universe, and the changes in
climate-environment-culture-perceptions-politics!
This group IS THE APPROPRIATE TECHNOLOGY! Hail the group! And let's
start sharing more of our techniques and give up the argueing over semantics
and acedemic viewpoints!
Tchau,
Matt
