timothy: if you're still working on that article (probably printed by now, tho) the Computers for Africa program is placing reconditioned Radio Shack Model 100 computers with African journalists. The environmental (sort of) tie-in is that we're working with Rodale Press to put information about low-impact agriculture on local servers that the Model 100s will be able to access. Our pilot project in Mali is well advanced and we are talking with Rodale's Dakar, Senegal, unit, about implementation.If this interests you, call me at 212-608-2150.
