BILETA 2000 Conference: 'World Wide Law' The 15th Annual BILETA (British & Irish Legal Education Technology Association) International Conference. Thursday 13-Friday 14 April 2000 Scarman House Conference Centre University of Warwick Coventry, UK

Please note the 15th Annual BILETA Conference will now take place on Thursday 13th to Friday 14th April 2000 (previously 17-18 April) in the new venue of Scarman House, University of Warwick, UK.

The conference theme is the impact of technology-led globalisation on legal education, practice and law. Abstracts (150 - 200 words) for papers are welcome, which highlight world-wide developments in information technology and law, particularly on these specific topics:

World Wide Learning Global, distance, lifelong and collaborative learning Production, delivery and implementation of technology based learning Role of Multimedia courseware Internet based learning Pedagogy of effective learning Technology in education in developing countries

Globalisation of Legal Practice Electronic datasets and access to legal information Global law firms Teleworking Human rights and non governmental organisations Inter- and intranets in the transformation of legal work

Globalisation of Technology Law Harmonisation, Internationalisation and self-regulation Electronic Commerce Privacy and Freedom of Information Internet Regulation Intellectual Property

If you are interested in submitting a paper or a proposal for a talk, workshop or live presentation using video-conferencing, please send a short abstract and a brief c.v. to the address below by 31 December 1999.
