TeleDiplomacy, Inc. is proud to introduce the Electronic Embassy project, helping the foreign embassies of Washington D.C. to better serve their constituencies in the U.S., and worldwide. The Electronic Embassy WWW server may be reached at http://www.embassy.org. At present the server provides general information on the D.C. embassies, as well as pointers to existing embassy Web and Gopher sites. TeleDiplomacy, Inc. will also be helping other embassies, nongovernmental organizations in foreign affairs, and others to place their information out onto the Internet and through the Web.We look forward to your suggestions as to information you would find most helpful; we include promotion of international education as a major program goal. In many cases, the D.C. embassies can serve as surrogates for their own foreign and other ministries in gaining an Internet presence, and we would appreciate being directed to points of contact within the embassy community who have an interest in getting on the "information superhighway," to better deliver their embassies' materials to the public, to NGOs and PVOs, etc.
Please repost this announcement where it may be appropriate. Thank you!
