On The Least of These, HCJB's weekly program focusing on issues of the
needy, we'll be looking at micro-enterprise efforts around the world.
Curt Cole will interview Dan Larsen of World Relief who will explain
what micro-enterprise efforts are and describe World Relief's efforts
in this area. Then we will hear about how similar efforts in the United
States are paying off. Ralph Kurtenbach offers some disturbing figures
on poverty levels in the U.S. and Allen Graham reports how cuts in
government welfare efforts are affecting families in the Appalachian
mountains.
Join host Ken MacHarg for these reports on The Least of These.
The Least of These is a weekly radio program produced by HCJB, The
Voice of the Andes in Quito, Ecuador, South America. The title of the
program comes from the biblical reference in Matthew 25:40 where Jesus
Christ said,
"I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you
gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I
needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me,
I was in prison and you came to me. Whatever you did for one of the
least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."

The Least of These is broadcast on HCJB, The Voice of the Andes on the following Schedule:
