Hi folks,as I'm new to this list, I don't really know what's going on, but in the meantime I have some questions. The background s that I'm trying to put together a housing project for homeless people here in Mexico, and one of my concerns is, how t pump water from a (to be drilled) well. As you can see from the subject line, I'm thinking about a Savonius rotor, conn cted to a pump with a vertical shaft.
Now, my questions are: - does anyone know where to get these pumps? - anyone knows an efficient and cheap design? - how should I calculate the surface area of the rotor?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
