What's New: Problem with Access to Databases and Full-text Solved
The DNS problem making it impossible to access Find it!/Get it! and the online catalog described below has been fixed - we think! If you're still having problems, PLEASE let us know - library.webmaster@wumail.wustl.edu. Thanks!
There was a major problem with the University's DNS server software yesterday afternoon. As a result, you may experience problems accessing some web sites or computers on campus. We have received reports indicating problems accessing the library catalog server and the Find It!/Get it! server from various locations. The Network Technology Services staff is working with the software vendor to resolve these problems.
Until this is repaired, please access databases via the Databases pages (that we used before Find it!): Databases
Please note: linking to Get it! from the databases is also affected by the DNS problem, so using the Get it! buttons when viewing the results of your searches in databases will not work. This is somewhat convoluted, but there is a work-around: once you identify articles of interest to you, open an separate browser window to Full Text Electronic Journal Holdings, and search for the journal title. You'll have to navigate to the appropriate volume, issue, and article on the journal's website, but you should be able to access your articles.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and do hope to have this repaired soon!
