Robyn Bohn, You Sweetheart Nation

This book was an ode to a consumer-centric nation that dehumanizes and tramples its people for the rise of material weath. Child's handwriting is scrawled across a gold-gated, bizarre dome to represent frustration, speaking out. Large hand's are pushing the words off the page on the other side, also representing the rejection, yet simultaneous entanglement, of these ideals. The fold severs the hands, the little girl, the adult man, and rest of the picture plane into smaller pieces, which you can flip through, or open up like a large tresure map to reveal the overall scene.
