The Modern Literature Reading Series continues the fall semester with a reading featuring the work of John N. Morris.

The recent publication by The Press at Washington University in St. Louis of Selected Poems by John N. Morris occasions this reading. Dillon Johnston, Gregory Londe, and Stephanie Pippin will be reading work by Morris and some of their own work. Free and open to the public. Reception will follow.

Dillon Johnston is a lecturer in English and Director of The Writing Program at Washington University. He is the founder and still director of the Wake Forest University Press and its Irish Poetry Series. He is the author of Irish Poetry After Joyce, Poetic Economies of England and Ireland, 1912-2000, and essays on British and Irish poetry.

Gregory Londe is a first year MA/PhD student in English Lit. at Washington University, interested in modern British and American poetry. He helped edit the feature section on John N. Morris in the most recent issue of Word: A Journal of Undergraduate Literary Criticism.

Stephanie Pippin graduated with an MFA in poetry last May. She is currently a Writer in Residence here at Washington University. Her poems have appeared in The North American Review, Hayden's Ferry Review and are forthcoming in Lyric Poetry Review and Post Road.
