Preconference Hotel

The Hyatt Regency St. Louis, at One St. Louis Union Station, in downtown St. Louis, Mo., is the official RBMS Preconference hotel. Rooms are available at a special discounted group rate to RBMS Preconference attendees. Please call the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at 800-233-1234 or 314-231-1234 (fax 314-923-3970) and identify yourself as part of the "ACRL Rare Books Preconference" taking place June 21 - 24 to receive the discounted group rate of $145 (single or double).

The Hyatt Regency offers a heated, outdoor pool and a totally renovated fitness room featuring: cardio theater, free weights, Lifecycles, treadmills, stair climbers, rowers, and saunas in the men's and women's locker rooms.

Washington University Dormitory Housing

The Washington University Summer Website will be available on March 1, 2005. You may register for housing online at summer.wustl.edu/summer/. Please click on, "Guest Housing". Guest Housing will be in Thomas Eliot Hall and you may choose a double or single room.

All rooms are air-conditioned and are equipped with a twin bed, chest of drawers, and a desk. You will have a phone in your room and local service is included in the cost of the room. You will need a phone card to access long distance. Linens are also provided and include sheets, towels, blanket, pillow, and bath soap. We do not provide other hotel amenities such as shampoo, drinking cups, hangers, etc. Fresh linens are available every fourth day of your stay.

Check-in will take place in the Residential Life office between the hours of 9:00am to 7:00pm M-F, Sat 12:00pm to 7:00pm, and Sun 12:00pm to 5:00pm. If you plan to arrive outside these hours please indicate in the comment section of your housing application. Cancellations must be received two weeks prior to your check in date.

Room Costs (including linens):

*Single Room (one twin bed) — $39/night
*Double Room (two twin beds) — $35/night per person

*Please note that your single room or double room will share a bath with another room. Please indicate the name of a suite mate choice within your group if you have one.

Dormitory guests may dine at the Bear's Den on the ground floor of Wohl Center. The Bear's Den accepts cash and is open M-F 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sat.-Sun. 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Parking is available for both resident and non-resident guests in one of our two garages and you may purchase parking passes in the Residential Life office for $3/day.

A shuttle will be provided to take attendees from Eliot Hall to the Hyatt Regency on Tuesday 6/21, Thursday 6/23, and Friday 6/24. The shuttle will not run a continuous loop, but will pick up at specific times. See below for schedule information:

Tuesday 6/21:

Shuttle leaves Eliot Hall for the Hyatt Regency at 4 p.m. and at 5 p.m.
Shuttle leaves the Hyatt Regency for Eliot Hall at 7:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

Thursday 6/23:

Shuttle leaves Eliot Hall for the Hyatt Regency at 7:15 a.m. and 8:15 a.m.
Shuttle leaves the Hyatt Regency for Eliot Hall at 3:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.

Friday 6/24:

Shuttle leaves Eliot Hall for the Hyatt Regency at 7:15 a.m. and 8:15 a.m.
Shuttle leaves the Hyatt Regency for Eliot Hall at 12:45 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.
